August 31 was my 60th birthday. In Japan, turning 60 is celebrated as “kanreki”, marking the completion of the zodiac cycle and a new beginning, often with a red “chanchanko” vest. I followed this tradition and celebrated myself!
The mural project was a resounding success, and the Japan Festival was a triumph. Now, I’m excited to invite you to the Fukuoka Craft Fair!
Two close friends from my hometown of Fukuoka are coming to Bangalore. Misa was a fashion designer in Paris, and Miyuki worked in media & entertainment in the U.S., and now works in Fukuoka, managing a tour concierge for foreigners, offering kimono and tea ceremony experiences. They will be bringing some of Fukuoka’s beautiful handicrafts with them. We hope you will join us.
